I work as a pediatric intensive care nurse. I wanted this test because I have looked after many children afflicted by conditions that the test screens for. I wanted to have all the information I could about my baby to help me make informed decisions about my pregnancy. In my first pregnancy I used a Harmony test because I had heard about it on an online forum and found out that my baby was high risk for a trisomy. The baby also had an extremely high nuchal translucency measurement and we ultimately lost the pregnancy. I then lost my second pregnancy at 8 weeks. So for my third, I knew I wanted another NIPT and the genetic counsellor from my first pregnancy recommended Panorama because the test can be performed earlier than the Harmony I took the first time. Having the results as soon as possible meant a lot to me. My results were low risk and I now have a healthy beautiful 16 month old girl (the sex was correct!). I’m now 14 weeks pregnant again and the Panorama was low risk once again. I’m so thankful to Panorama for offering a wonderful product that helped give me peace of mind about the health of my pregnancies. I suffer from hypermesis gravidarum so pregnancy is not easy for me at all, but knowing that my little ones are healthy and that I’m not as likely to lose them puts me much more at ease.

This is my first pregnancy and I was told about the NIPT testing option by my family physician. Although I'm not in the 'high risk' category, my doctor explained the benefits of the testing, the ease of collecting a blood sample and the range of options for microdeletions. Initially, I was unsure if I wanted to complete the test - but I'm really glad I did! The entire process was really easy, all the way from ordering the test online to having my blood drawn at the clinic. My doctor called with my results within 10 days and the results even indicated the baby's gender (at only 9 weeks!) I would highly recommend this testing for anyone who's considering it - whether high or low risk. It's definitely a great way to have some peace of mind early in your pregnancy.

The test is very expensive but it worth every cent. Pregnancy is already a time of many uncertainties and insecurities and to be able to have assurance and peace of mind is just priceless. Also, it is great to know the gender of the baby early in the pregnancy and be able to share the happy news with everyone.

This is my second pregnancy, and I did not do NIPT testing with my first. I’ve had friends receive false positives on the NT ultrasound and saw how stressful it was for them waiting for NIPT results after receiving those high risk results from the 12 week scan. I wanted to avoid this stress and skip straight to NIPT or if something was wrong, I wanted to know as early as possible to give my self time to process and learn more about the potential condition. The NIPT was covered through my health care spending account at work, so the cost was not an issue. Finding out the gender was a nice bonus! My results were good- a low risk, baby girl on the way. I was very happy with my experience.

Great test that gives you peace of mind early on about the health of your baby for either reassurance or to make decisions moving forward. Was able to avoid the ultrasound for Down Syndrome screening, along with higher false positives and resulting chorio/amnio, reducing anxiety and our baby's exposure to unwanted interventions. Overall I had a positive experience with my NIPT test. The site was easy to navigate and I was able to find a lot more information about the results, as my family doctor did not know a whole lot about the test. Test result came back within the 7-10 day time frame and my OBGYN was happy I did it.

I’m 40 years old and am pregnant with my second child. As excited as I am about the new pregnancy, I was also very worried, so as soon I got to know about the Panorama NIPT, I couldn’t wait to be tested and even more, to have the results so I could prepare myself if eventually my new baby was to need some extra help or require any preparation for his arrival. I felt honestly an immense relief when I found out he was ok. And after that, 6 weeks later now, I am enjoying my worry free pregnancy. I live in a remote community in Northern Canada and getting access to health care is not always easy. The customer service at LifeLabs was excellent, they answered all the questions I had and supplied my midwife with clear instructions on how to collect and ship the sample. I was able to easily order the kit, collect the sample, ship and receive my results all within 2 weeks! This option saved me time and money that I would have spent driving 8+ hours to the nearest city. There are multiple providers of NIPT now, but I would recommend LifeLabs based on their quality of customer service and clarity of information/data available on their website.

When we got pregnant again, through IVF, it was important to us to do the Panorama NIPT. We wanted to have information early to be prepared for having a baby with Down Syndrome or the reassurance that baby was healthy. Our doctor gave us the various options for testing and we were happy with our choice to do the Panorama NIPT. What a wonderful test, so easy and helpful that it can be done at 9 weeks. I wish I knew about it sooner and had it at 9 weeks. I wish my results came right away and I could have saved the heartache of carrying a baby for 3 months that miscarried due to chromosome abnormalities. If I were to become pregnant again I would have this test right away at 9 months. I would recommend the test to anyone over 35.

My partner and I decided to invest in the test because I’m over 35. I researched the test online and also spoke to a friend who had recently made the same investment. It was very easy to pay online and my doctor filled out the necessary paperwork right away. The test itself was easy and conveniently located since it can be done at LifeLabs without an appointment (these are hard to come by—I would have had to wait for several weeks if the test had required booking in advance). Overall, I am happy with the test so far, although I’m still pregnant so can’t speak to the accuracy of the data yet.

Autre bonne nouvelle, je suis à nouveau enceinte de 14 semaines et le test Panorama™ m’a encore indiqué un faible risque.
